Rent sailboat & sail yourself

Renting a sailboat and sailing yourself means that you rent a boat without a skipper. This means that you are responsible for navigating, maneuvering and maintaining the boat throughout the rental period.

You are therefore given full freedom to determine the route, pace and where you want to stop – but also full responsibility for safety, sailing and taking care of the boat.

In practice, this means:

• You pick up the boat at a designated location and do a briefing with the rental company.
• You plan the sailing yourself based on weather, wind and your own goals.
• You are responsible for following the rules of the sea, navigating correctly and managing the mooring and sails.
• You take care of food, provisions and any port logistics.
• You return the boat in the agreed condition at the end of the rental period.
